Her presence, however, made him push all other thoughts aside for the time. She had returned from... wherever she had been. Was it bad that his first thought was to wonder if that meant Raven - his Raven - was back as well?
He didn't say anything, just drew alongside her. The last time they'd spoken, he couldn't abide her insolence and asked her to leave his office. He was waiting to gauge her attitude before he decided if it was worth his while to speak.

A gloved hand just pushed a strand of hair back as she stared out. "Makes it seem like there ain't nobody out there." She finally said, mulling over their seclusion.

He, too, looked out into the snow. Looking directly at her was too much of an invitation. The last time he allowed her to be so familiar, she'd quickly become disrespectful.

She wasn't going to apologize. She'd felt attacked and Marie still didn't see how telling Ororo who was one of her mentors in her time was a bad thing. If he could be emotional, so could she.
But she wasn't going to argue. Not when everything seemed so changed since then. Not when the fate of either species could be turned so easily.
"It feels like it's just us and the whole world doesn't exist. Doesn't matter what happens if we're in our own little bubble." Or at least that's how it seemed.
