And then there was Erik's nightmare.
Once Charles had returned to his room after talking to his best friend, he laid awake. Not because he was still busy thinking about it, but because he wanted to make his presence known inside the other man's head, moreso than usual, and also to provide some sort comfort that he was indeed close by ( ... )

After a moment of making sure there was neither verbal nor mental actual request that she go away - and she knew by her time he could be very subtle with the latter - she sighed quietly and nudged the door open.
She didn't quite come inside. Or even look, exactly. Just in case she would disturb him. But she didn't think this was best said in the hallway to a closed door. Instead, she spoke quietly into the darkness of the room.
"I heard... you and Erik arguing at the meeting. About headache. I might... be able to help. Or at least tell you if you should be seeing a doctor."

At the sound of her voice, he didn't answer right away. Instead, he let out a little sigh and swallowed hard.
"Something is wrong." he answered, his tone strained to show just how much pain he was currently in.

She slipped inside the room and closed the door behind her quietly. And left the light off, finding her way halfway cheating to the bed and sitting on its edge.
"While you were unconscious, at some point there was ... liquid collecting inside your brain. I happened to be there when the doctors realized it and I could dissolve it. If it's the same problem, I can do it again." Her hand reached to touch the back of his. "Will you let me use my powers to at least look if that's it?"
