Jubes was tired and she was sore but thankfully it was her last day of shoveling the veranda. Seriously, the punishment had sucked but she knew it could have been a lot worse if Erik and Charles had really wanted it to be. He put on the kettle, leaned himself up against the counter and opened his book, and after finishing his page, he closed it and turned to go into the cabinet for a cup. That's when he noticed the steaming cup of hot chocolate.
The young telepath looked to the door, then back to the hot chocolate. It was obvious someone had just been there. But, he just shrugged it off and went about making his tea again.
When he was done, he collected his drink and just before he moved to leave, he heard a muted bump sound somewhere towards the pantry.
He looked towards it. Looked at the hot chocolate and raised his eyebrows in clear confusion, then shook his head lightly.
"Hm. Maybe I will have a nap later."

Glancing around, she looked for something to grab and spotted the marshmallows. At least she could just say she was looking for something and not hiding, right?

After Charles had left, Logan looked over to the counter then walked over to the pantry and opened it up.
He stood, eyebrow lifted nonchalantly at the girl inside the tiny space.
"Coast is clear." he told her in a gruff, yet almost amused voice.

"Hi!" She replied brightly, moving to step out of the pantry. She tried acting as casually as possible but there was a definite hint of wariness as she glanced around the kitchen to make sure that the Professor was actually gone.
Turning to face Logan, she held up the bag of marshmallows. "I was just looking for these. Did you know they made marshmallows already in this time? Crazy, right?"
