As he grew aware of her, she didn't look at him right away but stayed focused on the worn little book between her hands. But finally, she looked at him, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye.
"Hello, Charles."

"Wh-what are you doing? Emma. Wh-why are you here? Where's your clothes?" he stuttered, fully in shock and not knowing if this was really her or just her projecting.
He pulled the blankets up, checked to see if he was wearing his clothes and then pulled them back tightly over his chest when he realized he was.

But, seeing as he had no intention of leaving Charles in an enforced nap under Emma's supervision alone, he'd pulled it out again, picking up where he left off.
He looked up when Emma spoke, a little relieved that this distasteful business was over.

"I am dressed." Her tone had a hint of 'oh, come on now' to it.
She glanced at Erik, noting his relief which was a nice change from distaste he had over the whole thing.
