It was no secret that Erik had a certain amount of distaste for mercenaries: people with no loyalty to anyone. Or, if anything, loyalty that was cheaply bought and sold

Prompt? What was that? As far as Victor was concerned he had a shitty week and the rest of the week wasn't shaping up much better. It seemed the only time Lehnsherr and Xavier bothered with him was when they needed him to do something for them. So really was it any wonder Victor had so little respect for Lehnsherr? At least Xavier's reasons were more in line with the fact he was recovering and sitting there judging him for past shit.
Victor appeared not too long after Wade, though in less dramatic fashion as he didn't kick the door open. He did however look bored as he didn't bother offering any greetings or acknowledgments as he dropped down into an empty seat without any direction being given to him.
The only thing he thought was that it had better been worth his time or he was ready to get the fuck out of dodge.
Bella sauntered in shortly after Victor and looked at him first before checking out who else was in the room. They were people she all recognized except for the dude in the red get-up. She couldn't resist the amused smile before taking a spot along the wall.

Erik glanced around the room. This was everyone they'd asked to assemble.
"You're all aware of the threat Stryker poses to mutantkind and you're all... uniquely qualified to assist us against him."
He held up a small basic map of the Alkali Lake dam.
"Alkali Lake. We know that Stryker has been scouting it already, though we do not know if it is already in use or if he will personally be overseeing its operations if it is."
He put the map down and folded his hands on top of it.
"We're going to move on the base. This may end up being a simple reconnaisance mission, as we do not want to give up our advantage if he has not started using the facility yet. However, if he has started using it, we will be carrying out a full assault. Stryker is our primary objective, but whether we are able to pin him down or not, we will still be doing a thorough sweep of the base, in case he is holding any mutants

Scott was slightly dubious at the assembled crew. It seemed to him that they were scraping the bottom of the barrel with their choices and he really had to stop himself from protesting at John's presence. In Scott's opinion, a mere child should not be allowed on a mission, even if he wasn't technically a 'student' in the full sense of the word.
But he reminded himself that this was Erik's show and he assumed he had been invited along as a small measure of reassurance that someone on the team would actually be willing to take orders.
Keeping his mouth firmly shut on his opinions, Scott crossed his arms. Then realized he had a question.
"I do. You say Stryker is our primary objective. Does that mean elimination or capture? Or do you have something else in mind?"
Scott's tone probably betrayed his attempt to keep his opinions to himself, as his speech was short and clipped.
"Elimination would be preferable," he pointed out. What in the hell would they do with him in custody if they captured him? "Is that going to be a problem for you Mr Summers? Because if the idea unsettles your delicate sensibilities, I'm sure any number of your colleagues in this room would be happy to complete the objective. We are at war for the very survival of our species and Stryker poses an incalculable threat both now and for the foreseeable future, should he live that long."
Charles kept quiet while Erik opened the meeting. His eyes moved to each person, then to John, whom he believed should not be there either. That opinion had been shared with his friend, but it was only heard, and not taken into advisement.
His attention was quickly brought to Scott, and it stayed there until Erik had finished speaking. At that time, Charles glanced to his friend with a less than impressed look.

All bunch of people he didn't like. Fantastic.
And one he wanted to kill. Buddy's smell gave it away...
His eyes cut through and settled on the motor-mouth.
"How long has he been here?"
Reply
"Here meaning the mansion or the meeting?" Erik asked wryly. "You're late."
Reply
"The mansion." he answered.
Not that he could fault himself for not noticing. Everything over the past month and a half was throwing his senses off.
