Some point mid afternoon, a silence falls over the Mansion that's nearly as bad as it is outide. In a corner of the house, a blinding light speeds across the wing. A boy appears in just a white shirt and pants. The light then spreads, like a bright lensflare shuddering itself through the property

Still, Scott wouldn't risk it until he was outside to be sure. He wouldn't risk blasting a hole through the entire mansion. Trying not to get his hopes up, he made this way through the corridors of the school, hearing the reactions of others on his way. His heart skipped a beat as his suspicions gained more truth.
Once outside, Scott looked up into the sky and put a shaking hand up to his glasses. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, then raised his glasses an inch and opened them.
Nothing happened.
He felt a rush of emotions and allowed them to overwhelm him. For a moment, he stood there still and silent, except for the tears that welled up in his suddenly normal eyes.

Stepping outside, she paused as she watched silently while he lifted his glasses just enough to peek under them. Despite knowing she did not have her own power, she still held her breath to see if his own power would work but nothing happened. It seemed that everyone really was affected.
"It's happening to all of us." Her voice touched lightly on his ears as she made her way to him. As she got to his side, that's when she noticed his reaction and for a moment she was confused even if she could understand. She wished she could find joy in having no powers but she couldn't. It left her feeling cold and empty, completely cut off.

Her words confused him slightly. "You've lost your powers, too? My God, everyone?"

"That's what I've been told. That it's a boy whose power cancels out other powers." Then she held up a hand. "And now I don't know what's being done about it at the moment."
She seemed a little on edge.

He'd be patient. For now.
Logan was heading down to the kitchen in search of Kayla when it happened. His body felt heavy, and the usual senses he'd experienced, mostly the acute sense of smell, were dulled to almost nothing. In fact, he felt like nothing no more than a regular man, without really understanding how that felt.
With a glance towards the end of the hall, Logan knew something wasn't right. His natural instincts told him someone was there. A threat. Could this have been Stryker's next move ( ... )

Whatever it was, it couldn't be good, and she abandoned the systematic search for Jimmy in order to go check that out. Finding Logan kneeling across the threshold of a study, his hands bleeding? Was not something she relished.
On the other hand, there was the kid, inside. Storm shook her head, crouching beside Logan. A moment, and she winced, realizing it was the healing not working.
"Jimmy?" The kid looked up, relaxing a tiny little bit. "Can you open the window and get some snow from the windowsill? That should help with the pain."
After a moment of looking between her and the window in still kind of terrified confusion, the ordinary request reached the boy, and he scampered to oblige.
"Logan?"

But, he heard Storm and opened his eyes to see the boy returning with a handful of snow.
"What the hell is going on." he asked breathlessly. "Is this him doing this?"

Ororo squinted at Jimmy. "On the other hand, his range is much smaller in the future. Have you been working on extending how far you can affect, Jimmy?"
The boy shook his head, his eyes still too wide, white showing all around. She sighed. Explanation about the whole time thing was going to come - as soon as she had taken care of Logan.

Since he'd come back from the future, Kurt hadn't been able to stop thinking about what he'd seen there. A medicine that could take away powers -- that could make someone normal -- with just one shot. How could he think about anything else?
And now... it was 1963, not 2011, and he'd had no shots. He was just sitting in the living room, quietly reading a book. But somehow... somehow, the blue had melted from his skin, the tail had vanished... He held up his hands and was astonished to see that he even had normal hands.
Oh, there were other things that were gone. He realized, after a moment, that he couldn't teleport; and when he jumped up to run to the mirror, the combination of losing his sixth sense and suddenly having extra toes and no tail nearly made him crash into the thing. But where his powers were gone... he had ten fingers and ten toes, and white skin, and brown eyes, and he looked like a person for the first time in his life.
He was Cured.

Kayla didn't really know what was going on. She had felt the strange sensation that came with her power being taken away but she hadn't put two and two together yet. Mainly because she had been out for a walk all by herself and she only used her power when she was touching someone. When she wanted them to do something.
She had been close to the mansion as well when she had spotted Bobby, quickly taking note of how he was soaked and looked a little rattled. Concerned, she hurried towards him.
"Are you okay?"

"What's going on?! Is it just me? Did I overdo it?" His teeth started chattering as he once again felt the strange sensation of cold pass over him. "What's happening?"

Reaching out to touch him, she looked for that thread, that link that she could form with other people to use her own power but there was nothing. So she frowned, her eyes narrowing as she tried to focus. She would never make him do anything bad but it seemed that now she couldn't make him do anything at all.
"My power isn't working either."
