He was walking up the stairs and she looked about to tumble down them. He strode quickly up the remaining steps between them and took her arm firmly.

"What are you doing?"

She gasped at the grip on her arm, her stumble stopped, but her heart was racing. She glanced in the direction of the familiar voice.

"Eric? I just wanted to get some air..."

"There are many people you could ask for help," Erik admonished, leading her down the stairs. "You're going to break your neck trying to do everything yourself before you've had a chance to acclimate."

"I just wanted to be able to do something without help...I feel useless. I can't even walk without falling or crashing into something." She did hold Erik tightly as they moved down the stairs.
