As long as we're all on a music kick...

Did you know they make off-brand Everclear? Did you know you should double-check to make sure the flaming shot actually blew out before you drink it, especially if you're drinking almost pure flammable substance? My old roommate Mike learned both of these as set his face on fire this weekend. Also my arm, a guitar, and the table, but the first ( Read more... )

You just pretty much named my soundtrack in 5th and 6th grade. I used to love the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. "Where'd you go" was in Clueless, so me and my fifth-grade giggling girlfriends perused their catalog further. I specifically remember in "Rascal King" the one line that goes "the rascal king behind the bars or the one in front of them" and we thought they were saying "the rascal king dangles his balls all out in front of him."

I used to love Fush Yu Mang, too! I remember it being one of those albums where the known single (in this case, "Walking on the Sun") sounded completely different from the rest of the album (I recall Sugar Ray's album Floored having this phenomenon with "Fly," and around the same chronological time, too). But I liked it just the same.

Presidents FTW. I do recall this being a good album. This is the one that also has "Lump" and "Kitty" on it, right? And you can't lose with the Offspring. Well, you can't lose from Americana and anything previous, I should say.

I am deeply saddened to hear that you may not be able to visit again for a long while, if at all. Truth be told, it was only a matter of time, as you were going to be gainfully employed eventually...and looking at the larger picture, it's very possible that I'm out of here at the end of next April. Nevertheless, I am pained.

I wish I'd met most of my current group of friends much earlier in college, but especially you and Tommy, since the time we got was so brief. I really wish we could all stay together someplace, and it breaks my heart to know that a lot of you will fade from my life. But, as you've pointed out, we do have text messaging and the Internets, so perhaps all hope is not lost. I'd also like to visit you in North Carolina sometime.

If nothing else, I'll remember you fondly every time I make Syrian pizza- which I'm actually doing right now.

Perhaps that sounded more dire than I intended.

I meant "Last time I can ride up with Tommy". Since, unless I take a half-day, I'll finish work about two, three hours after him. Granted, this means I'll probably ride alone (unless someone really needs a lift along the way), and arrive around midnight, both of which make it less fun. However, I really want to show off my heated leather seats at least once.
