Journey to the West is brilliant. There was a television series made, at least I think it was made for TV, in the 80s and I grew up watching it and own the VHS copy of actually. There was a remake back in the 90s but I hated it. I prefer the original.

I think I saw the 90's version, once. It's a fun, brilliant, often funny story, which is why it's so popular still and has been made into so many other formats and redone to so many new stories.

I've downloaded a complete version (all 100 chapters, instead of the first 13 and last 10), to read it later on whenever I'm in a car ride or on a plane or something.
