whew!. That 4 day visit went by lightening fast!. All went really well. John is just as adorable as Kit makes him out to be. He just fit right in will all the other folks. Our large family had bigger fish to fry this year instead of asking Kit the usual "when are you coming home, When are you gettig married etc" I did manage to get her to hold ( Read more... )

Mallory has been doing that too...but I haven't noticed the tell-tale bumps on her gums to indicate teething. Maybe this is the prelude to actual teething and they are just bothering her. Getting ready for the big thing. I think my other kids were mor like 6 months before actual teeth came in.

Sometimes the process lasts a LONG time. They'll teeth for a couple of months before they actually get a tooth, so I guess it's possible.

Ethan started acting like he was teething at about that age, but didn't get actual teeth for a few more months. It went in stages where he would be fussy for a few days and I'd give him tylenol and then he'd be fine for a few weeks and then we'd start all over again. I think those first few months were more painful for him (and me) than the actual teething.
