i hate having the hiccups because it makes your whole head feel like it's going to explode.

oy! so a bunch of mid-40 year old men in ugly khaki shorts have sat around their home owner's association table and decided that our yard is absolutely distasteful AND have gone so far as to write us, not one, but three letters of "helpful reminder" that ( Read more... )

Actually...the home owner's association has a point. If your property appears shabby and unkempt, than the value of the surrounding houses will decline. And they actually don't have the power to evict you. I'm not sure why they really exist. I think they can maybe report you to someone else, but they don't much power other than to tell you you're dirty...but they do have a point.

Mowing sucks.

1- what is with your need to be right or have the right information about every little thing?
2- you missed the point. the lawn WAS cleaned up and they were STILL bitching about it.

I just saw this and felt compelled to respond. Yea I did miss the point I suppose. Maybe I was tired or maybe I just...simply...missed the point. But as far as my "your need to be right or have the right information about every little thing" well I just prefer justified arguments. I like to know how things work. The best way to attack something is to attack its foundation or its core, what makes it work. If you hate the home owners association for doing their job and looking out for their best interests, that's just being ignorant on what the home owners association actually is. You instead could attack the existence of such an association or the way in which they carry out their business...but I don't think this "need" you speak of is a bad quality. I think it's good that I have "the right information ( ... )
