Folks shouldn't keep slandering St. Patrick, he didn't kill any druids. Most the Irish were already Christian when he arrived. -I am pagan myself, I just know there were so much worse conversion periods in other areas, Ireland was fairly peaceful and calm about the whole thing-

However, there are some really fun stories about St. Patrick trying to convert Ossian (son of Finn McCool) that I highly recommend, Ossian refused to be converted, and St Patrick and Ossian lived together like the Odd Couple snarking at each other :)
