Now that it's March, let's celebrate...White History Month!Speaking of animals, the hawks...I spent about an hour behind Ryan's in Muncie attempting to video the magnificent creatures, but they remained elusive. Two of them were off in the distance, but never came close enough for a quality shot, even with the telephoto lens. The next day, after ( Read more... )

ASI: Basically, I'm going to see DDR SuperNova and enjoy a free weekend with friends. That's it. Brian, the site says the $40 prereg ended on 2/21, so I plan on regging Thursday, barring work-related stupidity.

The site is wrong on so many levels. If you clicked through to the actual online registration process, it stated $40 until 3/3. Both Brandon and I registered that day at the $40 rate. Sorry you're gonna get screwed out of an extra $15. :/

$25, actually, alas. I still have to make sure the other two days are approved as well, as several others have requested time off this month for spring break and such. I'll let you know as soon as anything comes up!

I'll also be at Matsuricon in April, if you can make it to Columbus.

But of course I'd remember that show. Great fun.

LOL the whole Hawk thing seems a bit odd to me I see them all the time out here in the country just have to take a drive out there sometime and watch the fence posts along fields or up on the electric poles. Although is kind of rare to see them go into the city like that wonder why? Hmm oh assumed you watched all of Beck by now how did you like it?

Really? I hadn't really seen them as pronounced before as I do now. The possums don't stand a chance! Yes, Beck was wonderful, especially into the double digits. It's made me ache to go to a concert again. You should head up sometime when you're free.

Yeah they are fairly common out in the country although I did see a Red Tail Hawk the other day those you don't see very often.

Yeah when you get up into the later eps of Beck with the concert prep stuff the show does tend to have that "want to see a concert again" effect on you.

Will be in the Muncie area the weekend of March 17-19th will give you a call and see what’s going on. Think I still have your number on my cell.

Oh, I could Google it, but the personal interaction is so much better...SXSW...? And HOLY SHIT it figures! It's still a sweet idea though. Any chance you could make it to Boneroo?

Are you kidding me?... SXSW = South by Southwest. Or, the biggest music festival in the country. It's in Austin TX and it takes place over 7 days at over 20-30 different Austin venues. Bands and fans come from all over the world.

As for Boneroo, I've been asked by other people as well, and frankly, even though my all time favorite band is headlining this year, I just don't think I could be able to stand the Bonerro crowd (the Dave/Phish/etc. fans... They will still be there in droves, regardless of whether or not Dave or Phish is even playing).
