So the trial is over (I can't believe it's been that long since I posted anything). We convicted on some counts and had a hung jury on others. And now I have no faith in the justice system because we shouldn't have hung on any of the counts because the defendant essentially admitted what he did on the stand. I took the final final was last night. I'm almost out of school. I should be completely done, but Mr. Disorganized instructor told us on Tuesday that there will still be a final project in his class (he's been saying that for 2 weeks). I took a final this afternoon. I don't think I bombed it, but I don't feel like I did as well as I could. Brigit is sick, she has lymphoid hyperplasia. They were worried it was lymphoma, so at least for the moment that test came back negative. However her current condition often is a precursor to lymphoma (they weren't able to rule out first stage cancer cells). We have her on meds which she hates (and I'm terrible at administering) and we've switched ( Read more... )

Technically, spring break started for me at 4:00pm (Cesar Chavez day tomorrow and then next week off). However, I have both a midterm and a final exam due on Sunday (I get to take them on-line even though neither class is an on-line class). I'm surprised Adam hasn't killed me in my sleep. He HATES his meds. And tonight we nearly took out his eye. He struggled so much that the syringe I use to feed him the meds escaped from his mouth and hit him right at the corner of the eye leaving a blob of meds in his eyelashes.
