I think that I was somewhat mistaken before when I compared reading to dancing. East of Eden is a dance, absolutely, but now I am starting to think that different books might really be different types of activity

you are smart!! no. seriously.. although I think textbooks are more of going down a double black diamond with a friend who promised to teach you how to ski. It's a bad idea, and if you don't spend a lot of time on your butt, not getting anywhere, you're probably going to crash into a tree and end up with a headache.
