Aidan/Big, continued

Margo, your point is taken about Aidan and Carrie. About 3 other people have said that to me in discussions about Aidan, Carrie, and Big. After a very Carrie-esque bout of verbal diarrhea, I am more interested in the analogy than ever. If Aidan is perfect, but not for Carrie, is Big flawed but perfect for Carrie? I'm almost starting to think

Funny! I guess that's why the show was so popular...

I had a Big in my life. They were so much alike, they even talked and sounded similar. When I watched the show, I used to have post traumatic stress feelings. I'd get really mad at Big for the jerk he was being. The voice, the mannerisms... it made me have those mad/sad feelings all over again.

Big pisses me off, but at the same time, somehow he is possibly my favorite character on the show. I love it when he does sweet things for Carrie. My expectations for him are so lowered that whenever he does anything at all nice, I just melt.
