[Spock stands on the observation deck, well, observing. It's impossible to tell how long he's been there and, indeed, he has forgotten himself. In fact, he's forgotten several things- had he slept? Had he eaten? Either way, he wanted neither, needed none. He was content, or almost, to stand here, for all the world the only thing in it. He could almost convince himself that this place, this station, this time was a dream, a fantasy that would disappear the moment he turned around, back to the Enterprise. Back to where he should be.
