Lovely Xander/Anya thoughts. Also thank you for the comment about Anya being so clueless about life. That's always bugged me. She was a vengeance demon, she must have known how to interact naturally with humans to be successful - sigh. Also thank you for the reminder of both those fics. I'd forgotten just how much of a kick in the gut the first one was and the second is one of my favourite wacky Xander/Anya fics.

Buffy/Angel - hmm. To be honest, I never really got it. I mean, I get the momentary teenage girl/older mysterious man attraction, but beyond that I just didn't get it. Having said that, all power to those who are passionate about the pairing because the fandom church is broad and rightly so. I do love a good Angelus fic so thank you for the link to your fic. I hadn't come across it before and enjoyed it a lot.

Largely agreed about Xander/Anya. And I'm pretty neutral when it comes to Buffy/Angel, but I recognize that tendency to, well, maybe not actively defend them, but at least be defensive about them in my mind when seeing them get bashed.
