Thank you! I must admit, it's been a really long time since I've read "Cart and Cwidder," so until I got my hands on my copy, it was less an extrapolation and more a completely different character. But I'm glad to know that the Brid here fits in with the book!
I ship them, but this feels like a Brid who might believably choose to avoid a relationship regardless of whether or not she had feelings for him, because of the weight of expectations attached to it.
I do too, but when I reread that line where Keril says something along the lines of history repeating itself, I got mad on Brid's (and Kialan's) behalf, because there would be so much involved in their relationship beyond "Oh, we have the same names of some historical people, let's get it on"
I enjoyed writing this! I didn't write DWJ fic for Yuletide this year, so I was itching to write something.
