I loved Jordan Pond! I've only been there once but those popovers still haunt my dreams. The reason I mentioned it and New Orleans is because I once told a friend that if I had a TARDIS, I would probably use it to go get food.

I'd call that a good day.

Nice! Mind you, I know that Nine was dead-against "domestic" though Ten gives me the impression that he relishes it. Especially in The Christmas Invasion, sitting down to holiday dinner and such... maybe it was the illness that prompted that... in The Runaway Bride he mentions how he doesn't do that sort of thing when she invites him in... maybe he's still all "I'm gonna go and brood and be alone" due to Rose's absence. *shrug*

Maybe I just read too much into things. Anyhoodle! Nice story. I'll go and away and shut up now... well, maybe I won't shut up, but I'll be away and you won't hear me, will you, you lucky sods?! ^__~

You know, I always got the impression Nine was the more grunt-y and rude when it came to Jackie and domesticity and all that. Ten likes family business like in The Idiot's Lantern, while Nine just rolled his eyes when the Tylers started fighting in Father's Day. I so loved that part. Ten and Jackie seemed to get along just fine, if they way she made out with him in Army of Ghosts was any indication.

Of course, that doesn't make this fic any less cute...

I think that because Jackie was introduced to Ten when he was vulnerable and ill, she sees him as more of a person than just the alien who took her daughter away, so that's why she can be closer to him than Nine (also? It's David Tennant. I would put aside any differences I had with him)

I don't know, I think it probably helps that he stayed for dinner instead of seducing her daughter with whatever it was he seduced her that time in 1x05 (what the hell was it? I can't remember... and, of course, taking her away from a whole year and never really apologizing for it...
