Valentine's Day Dance

Sylvie had never worked so hard on something in her life. Thankfully she had a lot of help and the dance turned out brilliantly. She used a traditional Valentines Day color palette for the dance...reds, white, pinks...a little bit of gold for accent. She kept it subdued and classy because Valentines decorations can get tacky easily.

"Take a picture with me?" Sofie has spent more time taking selfies tonight than she has dancing. There's time for that and she looks amazing, pink is so her color.

“Sure.” Aubrey looks good, he might as well be in pictures. Has he ever even spoken to Sofie before? He’s pretty sure he congratulated her on her win in the talent show, at least. Pretty sure. “You match Colours well.”

Sofie puts an arm around him and snaps a picture, "thanks," she said. She show him the picture, "we look am amazing. I love your suit." She puts her phone in her bag, but she'll pull it out again in a minute. "That was the point. Doesn't he look so hot?"

“I wouldn’t kick him out of bed,” Aubrey says, just to see how she’ll react.

Cade had dressed essentially with being Sylvie's accessory in mind. His dress robes had at one point been rather traditional, before they'd been deconstructed and gilded and placed over a shirt that was really only deserving of the name so long as a viewer was willing to suspend disbelief. Eye candy he could do, it was his major contribution after the flowers had been properly arranged.
With Montague banned and Sylvie actually enjoying herself, he felt could steal a moment away from the crowd and the noise. Not that it wasn't great, it was just a lot.

"Want to take a walk?" He shows him the joint he's holding in his hand. "Or are you needed as an accessory?"

First he checks for Professor Popa and then to make sure Sylvie really doesn't look like she could use him for a minute before shrugging in agreement, "I could spare a couple minutes."

Jax starts waking. He's silent as he leads Dae say from the party. He tries a few doors and eventually one opens. He walks into the room and opens a window. He lights the joint and takes a hit," so you and Sylvie are the talk of the dance. Everyone thinks you make a great couple." He's not jealous. Nope. Though he thinks it's probably not a coincidence that he's talked to Dae more in the last couple of weeks than he has in the last few years at school.

Lottie knew other people were doing much more of a gown thing, but she came to DJ and dance in her fun little dress. Honestly, she was kind of already regretting the heels and would probably ditch them before her next set. Alfie and she had already switched once and she was coming off that set now. It was a little disappointing that this wasn't the crowd to do some real turntableist shit for, but there was enough stimulation going on with the pure crowd control and working the more-than-a-little improvised equipment to keep her interested and not straying from the set list.
Not that she hadn't brought some records to do that, if things got too boring.

Aiden doesn't want to be there. "Hey could you play one more Riley Bones song? I don't think you've played enough."

"Hey, you know what makes a shitty dj? Putting your taste before what the audience wants. So don't be rude," she shrugs. Is this even the kind of music she likes to listen to for fun? Nah. Does she love trying to work around so many acoustic ballads? Not really, but it's a challenge in its own way and that's something.

Aiden holds his hands up in surrender. He's a finally smiles,"I was kidding. I think when you have so many musicians in your life it makes you a music snob."He hands her a bottle of water. "You look nice." He shouldn't take his bad mood out on everyone else.
