I can so easily see the appeal of leaving this place, and ever-increasingly so. It doesn't make it any easier, though, to get left behind by... everybody I'm close to here (the numbers are limited as it is). I would like to be able to stop reminding myself of that, but it becomes more and more difficult every time I hear about the amazing futures

But then, life is the most selfish thing of all for each person living it, so in the end you should try not to forget that it is all about you and what you want from it. Everyone will remember you if you're happy with what you're doing.

And on the positive side of waiting to unleash your inner adventure, everyone will be back by the time you're just leaving, and they'll all be extremely jealous to think of what excitement you're experiencing for the first time..
