I'm sitting here in the basement of my mum and jay's house sweating my proverbial balls off trying to get a little cool.. I just returned from a solidly good concert by The Long Winters at the doug fir. The uber hipster hang out was no match for the quick wit of lead singer (John Roderick). I'm so jealous of yer Long Winters experience, though! God, I hope I catch them in Seattle again before too long. Heard 'em on KEXP on Friday with their CD release and all (you naughty, naughty girl with yer contraband!). I hope they aren't about to leave on tour?

yes, the long winters are fabulous. Ohh man.. I'm such a dork. I think I may be moving on the 11th. A very close friend of mine from guilford will be in town in early august..I just learned of this today. He's actually going to be in Seattle, hence my decision to extend my departure date from the 9th to the 11th.. hmm. We'll see though, I'll keep you posted. :)
