Alright, so I'm going to try to follow in Eric's illustrious example and write down a catalogue of my academic interests. (of course it's like 100 degrees here in chicago, so i may expire before i finish) Here it goes ( Read more... )

My interest list would be:

finish school
get job
make lots and lots of money
conserve water
make others conserve water

I think it's funny that De Soto completely misses the point that the distribution of land in the US helped lead to the (at one time) rather egalitarian nature of our society....the man gettin you down? move to montana and get 160 acres of land free! And the lack of that distribution of land has led to poverty for the masses in Latin America and elsewhere. Its about access not ownership.

Anyway, i think i just added too many subpoints, you probably could have added a couple dozen if you had wanted to as well.

Shouln't you put conserve water at the top of the list, because, last I checked, you could be doing that now. Unless you don't like to practice what you preach, in which case I would suggest you remove it from the list entirely. Yeah.

And hey, its not my fault that I'm really really rediculously interested in stuff (thats was a zoolander reference in case you didn't catch it)
