I haven't had cats all my life. I've had one cat. She's now 5 years old, and we've had her since she was a kitten. So, perhaps I'm missing something, but...I truly do not understand people who say "Oh, I tried to give my cat X brand of cat food, but she wouldn't eat it." Or, "I'd like to feed my cat dry food, but he won't touch it

I really do think there may be some cats who literally won't eat for days if served the wrong food? It may vary based on the temperament of the cat or things like that...

I don't know that for a fact, though dogs or other pets will avoid food for days. And then eat grass or dirt, or otherwise do things because they are hungry that make them really sick.

Of course the opposite is true too, there are some people who serve their pets things they really shouldn't eat, so as to pamper them, when really, they are just spoiling the pets and damaging their health.

I always thought animal psychology would be a cool field to study. Perhaps I should look into it...

We've been rather spoiled with Cordie, I think...aside from being not quite as friendly to strangers as the strangers would generally like, she's pretty much perfect. ;)
