College essay, no prompt. my miguel essay simply wasn't very much me at all, so i scrapped it and kind of just did brain vomit. it's clearly very much influenced by the deleted boat scene from kissing jessica stein, which i watched last night cause i needed to remember how amazing that tirade was. anyway, this is it. any suggestions are welcome

it's ok, the essays are a bit daunting. and i need to whittle down my schools a little and assure myself that i'm capable of making big decisions. and write like 8 essays. no big deal.

My second reaction was that I really like this, it's very informal but if that's what you want then it's great, because it captures you so well.

...But my first thought was I'm peeved because I've never seen the boat scene.

my first essay was too formal. not me at all. i think my problem is i'm not a very formal person, so formal essays about me are strange and about miguel.

you need to see the boat scene immediately. this is a bad version, but it'll do.

Hey Clare,

I hope you don't mind my commenting.

I've been adding CPC people to my livejournal. I want to get word out that... I'm making DVDs based on the footage I took at camp in 00-02 (mostly 00) and that anybody who wants one should contact me for more info (julie1080@yahoo.com)... basically I'm going to be editing the footage down to a watchable length, and there will be a musical montage, and special features like the folk operas and sharing night. It's going to be awesome!

Hope you also don't mind me commenting about the gender identity/sexual orientation thing (as you may recall gender identity is something that I always felt strongly about)-- There have been scientific studies about why this is... could be different levels of hormones, things like that. But then again, I'm very tomboyish and am completely heterosexual. Go figure. I think a lot of it is rooted in biology but I also think that people are complicated.
