They really are worth the money. The last pair of shoes I bought that were this comfy - well, I bought them in 2003 and I've been wearing them hard ever since!

I fell in love with Danskos but then this last pair I bought has been digging into the top of my foot. I think my feet have gotten wider, I mean really wide. I've bought 3 pairs of shoes in the last year and while comfortable in the store they are driving me crazy now and I ended up giving one pair away. The Danskos I've had stretched 2X's and the shoe doctor doesn't want to do it anymore but for $100 they are nearly impossible to wear.

Oh dear! I have one pair of Danskos that fits just right (the classic ones, bright red). Another, a slip-off pair in black patent leather, always hurt my feet. I didn't know why. Eventually I gave them away. It was sad, because I bought them new (even 50% off, it was still a bit of cash, as you know).

Alas. The Walking Company staff wouldn't even let me try on the Danskos. They said, "Nope, come over here."

Oh, very interesting indeed! I wish they were made in "wide" but I'm tempted to give them a try sometime.

Zappo's has a great return policy. If you've only worn them around your house, they'll take 'em back.
