So, I was digging through some old photos and I came across a cache of images from a Morris Dancing Festival I went to a couple of years ago. Morris dancing is an odd practice, and I have to say that I love it, mostly for it’s sheer quirkiness and the amount of regional variety in terms of costume, dance and local tradition. I have a very soft spot for Morris, as the town where I grew up boasted one of the biggest (possibly the biggest?) MD festivals in the world: the Wimborne Folk Festival.

This festival was on Evesham. Not really known for Morris, but it is the asparagus and asthma capital of the uk.

Do all small market towns have to be the capital of something? Is there a turnip capital somewhere?
