Suddenly, I understand a bit better now. I spoke with the resident nurse taking care of grandmother and have received this letter from mom:
so grandma is Kay, she's under antibiotic to clear up the pus on her tommy from the infection of the appendix. Once it is cleared up a little bit and when doctors decide she's ready for the surgery the rotten ( Read more... )

I went to my first baseball game yesterday at Fenway Park to see the Atlanta Braves VS the Red Sox... for the most part the crowd and the commotion was better than the actual game itself. Last evening at the Braintree (as is to Boston as Surrey is to Vancouver) Shopping Plaza, a pair of women, aged 34 and 60 were almost held and arrested for shoplifting. In their haste to depart the scene, they left their 8 year old girl crying on the curb "Don't leave me!". They did not however forget about the second child, age one, and rounded ( Read more... )

I found an apartment on Mount Vernon Street and I’m moving in on April 15th. It doesn't have a yard or a patio but it's close to the beach. I think I'd prefer my own private space but I'm glad just to get into something half decent. It was a really tough search. The realtors hawk the same rentals and try to rip you off, it's ridiculous. Went to New York on a $15 bus last weekend.
They deliver you from Chinatown to Chinatown and depart every half hour.
My life let out an inaudible sigh of relief the moment I set foot on Chrystie Street.
I love New York.
