One learns from their past mistakes.....and those without a conscious never repeat them. In addition to other things mentioned prior I have a twitch, hangup, personality fault or whatever label truly fits it properly in that I am very protective of my friends and their best interests. I cannot stand to see someone I care about mistreated by anyone

I agree with most of what you said but I must point out that I did say that this holds true"especially with women" and not exclusively. Be it male or female my frustration occurs when an individual is being mistreated without seeming to realize it. Perhaps my ideals are to high when it comes to the treatment of others as I can only stand by and watch mistreatment occur for so long. For me tis not a matter of being a "hero"...more a matter of if no action is takne to right the situation I could not live with myself if and when I see something happening that is wrong.
