From what I hear Home Depot has been having service problems and cutting back on staffing since the founder of the company left. I hadn't noticed before but usually I am going to a place like that on the weekend and everything is staffed... apparently they run with low staff levels during the week.. especially after working hours.

I prefer Lowe's. The Despot is closer to us, but the store layout is stupid (yah, let's put light fixtures on ONE side and light BULBS on the OTHER side! Crackheads.) and it takes twice as long to find anything. The employees are a mixed bag. Every now and then we'll get a good one who is really helpful but usually not. They do seem to have enough floor coverage most of the time, even if the employee is clueless.

Lowes has a better layout to me, but overall their employees appear to be either stoned or don't give a rat's ass. Of course we shop at the Ghetto Lowes at Edgewood, so I'm sure that is part of it. We've rarely gotten an employee who knows anything about the dept he's in, so don't expect expert help or anything. But, hey, at least you can find the shit you're looking for!

:-)

This weekend, don't forget! 7pm, me with Port in hand! :-)
