bad day

well.. today isn't so good. We took Marmelade to the emergency vet and they ran tests and his liver and kidneys are having problems.. looks like its probably fatty liver with complications... prognosis is poor.. we're taking him to the regular vet again in the morning to see what they have to say. We're hoping for the best though I'm not feeling

I'm so sorry.... There's nothing worse than seeing your baby suffer (even if it's not a human baby). I hope he makes it through. If not, I hope he is able to go painlessly.

I don't like the idea of him suffering... he's staying at the vet for a couple of days and we'll see.

fatty liver was nigel's first illness. i only had to force feed him for a few days while the antibiotics took hold, and then he perked up and became the frightening creature that he was until his last.

i hope he's okay. poor old fattie.
