I'm not AS fond of the first one as I am the second one, only because I've seen her make better icons than that. But don't get me wrong, I still like the icon!!! I mean, she's practically an icon goddess or something.
I think you ruined the true beauty of the first icon by outlining it. There's a certain aethestic feeling in having a picture less than 100x100 for an icon. There's supposed to be white space. Also, how is Cedric/Cho plastic in any way???
The outline is the icon's own, I don't add to or change the icons themselves in any way-the upper right icon is the original. The rest are set on soft light/etc. to create contrast, but the icon itself is completely untouched. I consider them plastic because both are very pretty people, like dolls. Therefore plastic means perfect, where anything more earthly would be imperfect. Besides, the icon looked too good (in my opinion) on the plastic texture not to use that as a theme. To each their own, however! :D I totally agree with you about the less than 100x100 aesthetic feel-I love icons with different shapes and this icon proves that. Thank you for all your comments! :D
This community is insane!! I love the idea of a gallery of art for icons! It's genius! I, myself, love to admire different types of icons and sometimes I save icons just because I think they are a work of art. I was wondering who made the icons...
ooooh that's too bad!! And thank you for the offer but I'm not too good running communitys an such, I can't even take care of my LJ but I hope someone takes over...
