Try taking five steps back from the screen and blurring your eyes. Then everything will fall into place. *coughcough* No, I know what you mean, sorry. :P

I love the use of shapes and colours in the first icon. It makes the Ron and Hermione more like shapes than an subject. I like~ :)

The second one, I like the use of noise in it, helps capture the mood~

I totally agree with you-it's more of semblances of them in the first icon.

I particularly like the way you've presented the second slide, although I have to say I prefer the first icon.

Question, though: could I re-use the background textures you're using here?

It's really hard to read your text on these things (and I'm talking about the last two as well). Could you use bigger and/or more legible text? On the top one here I could hardly read it, and I'm not sure I read the icon maker's name correctly, which is certainly a major issue.

Sure, sorry. I assume that everyone has super-vision like me, haha. lamevolume is the first iconmaker. I'll def keep that in mind when I make more, thanks. :D
