It had started snowing on their walk back to Hogwarts, so Remus and Sirius were wet and extremely cold.
The Fat Lady seemed a bit put out, being disturbed so late at night. Sirius whispered to Remus that she'd be even grumpier in the morning, possibly with a hangover.
There was coffee, charmed to stay warm, and mince pies on the table in front of the fire. Once again, Sirius was amazed at his boyfriend's powers of persuasion. He couldn't see the house elves doing this for too many other people.
He dropped his coat on the floor and pulled Remus into his arms. "I'm going to have a shower to warm up." He winked and grinned. "Gonna join me?" Cold lips found a warm neck under the Gryffindor scarf Remus had been wearing, nuzzling into the warmth and moving quickly to the other set of cold lips, hoping to warm them.
In the quiet of the castle, they heard the big clock chime midnight. "Happy Christmas Moony." Sirus murmured against the now hot lips of his boyfriend. "I love you now and forever."
