Did they - do they - really think that making Rem a prefect would cause Jamie and I to behave?
How did they think he'd do that?
Exerting his influence?
They are wrong.
He can't.
And that means he will fail in that task.
And I don't want him to fail at anything.
He shouldn't get detentions for something that I have done.
He can't control what I do.
He is not my keeper.
He is not my mentor.
He is my peer, my friend.
My lover.
And as such he gets placed into intolerable positions frequently.
By me.
I don't want to disappoint him.
I don't want to lose him.
I love him.
But I don't know if I can change.
