another year is reaching a close. I was thinking the other day about the passage of time, the whole "time goes by so much faster the older you get" thing. the way it appears to me, the older we get the more time we spend trying to get through the day, through the challenges and fores and the complications that make life what it is. our goals are

I have been thinking alot lately about how my (and other's) perception of time has vastly changed since I was a child or even a teenager

I think you are right when you say perhaps it's simply perceiving time itself. as strange as that may be, I just can't think of any other possible explanation. we both have opposite situations, yet the movement of time is the same. what we do have in common is routine. even if someone does not have a routine by a standard sense, they do have the routine of living, of understanding time and the basic functioning of things. as we grow old, we just want time to go slower so that we can appreciate the things we know will someday be no more. hahaha, youth is wasted on the young. I am becoming an old man.
