[When the audio feed turns on, it's nearly silent, save for soft breathing and the ambient sounds of the outdoors. But finally, just when the silence seems to be stretching on too long, someone speaks, sounding rather dejected.]...I've been looking really hard for a way out of here, but... I can't find one. I doubt there's any way that we can find by wandering around. [ With a heavy sigh. ] Believe me, I've looked.

[ Squinting at the video, now. ] That is-- [ The feed cuts off. Alarmed, she tries to reply to the signal; a feature she's discovered mostly by accident. ] Hello? Are you still there? Strange contraption...

[ Relieved, and amused, all at once. ] Mm. The contraptions can be finicky, it is true.

Are you well? I saw the... person who was with you. [ A pause. ] Are they well in the head?

That 'person' isn't a person, it's a faerie!

Maybe.

If there was a way for us to leave, someone would have discovered it.

It is not something I would like to admit, but it seems to be something we must accept.

[When the feed cuts off, Arwen glances at the device, mildly surprised. She decides to wait for awhile, in case the person who was speaking returns.]

Dear God, what on earth are you? [Curious? Yes. Disturbed? Oh, yes.]

Teddie, don't be disappointed. Noone has found a way out yet, but it doesn't mean that we won't.

Where are you? You shouldn't be wandering on your own.

The Gwyllion will not harm you. She seeks only to perturb.

[It's impossible to tell if the voice is near or far. It seems to forgo the conventional means of going in through one's ears and simply drops into the mind.

In truth, the Guardian is seated on a little rocky outcrop only a short distance away, watching both Teddie and the fae with a calm, constant gaze.]

[Wow, that sure didn't sound like a voice coming from the communicator...

Teddie looks around in confusion, trying to figure out where the speaker might be. It takes him a few moments to spot the Guardian nearby.]

...!

Was that you talking to me?

[The Guardian inclines his head.]

Yes.

[He watches the Gwyllion for a moment, but can't seem to outstare her, and turns his gaze back to Teddie.]

You are... Teddie, aren't you?
