sliding off topic somewhat...

I'm getting into it--I think I needed to put some distance from LOM and just see this as another series. Once I did, I started liking it :)

Have yet to catch up with you, as I'm watching the series free to air rather than dl.

funny thing is, you're not the only one. there's a wierd association, an anchor, in being a sequel. stuff has to make sense in a greater context. it's a burden and sometimes a bore.

omg, catch up before it ends and everyone's yelling all over the place about gene being actual jesus and sam returning and unmasking himself as dumbledore or whatever insanity the finale will bring.

I always thought it was Gene, but who knows? Who's to say Alex isn't in a coma in 2025 dreaming about 2005 dreaming about 1983? It could be so many things, though I don't think she's the only one who's stuck somewhere. Most of them probably have a sad story. I do think people are reading too much into it. I seriously doubt it's referencing the Bible and The Egyptian Book of the Dead and Greek myths and of course Molly's dead also. It's ridiculous. I don't think it's all about Sam Tyler, either. And, honestly, I watched LoM for Gene. Do you have any theories?

I cannot wait for 3.07.

I do think people are reading too much into it. yeah, me too. i do like the fact that we have this massive dedicated fandom scouring the bible and plato for hints. I like that everyone's resourceful and intelligent enough to come up with two or more (usually more) explanations for everything. doesn't mean the show is actually based on that particualar poem or painting. i sort of don't want it to be so simple.

i have no solid theories, really, but lots of sort of half ideas that don't really fit together, piecemeal speculations that explain nothing.
