I hated Avatar, too. *grins* Sadly, I've got a Trudy!headvoice who will. not. shut. up. And so thus, am forced to actually pay attention to the movie and fandom.
(which is always why your ficlet made my day - fandom is mostly 'ew, Trudy/Norm! He's a neeeeeeeeeeerd. And he doesn't rescue her or do anything for her'. To which I go D: a lot. So, it really was lovely seeing someone else get - and LIKE - their dynamic)
