So I'm transferring qeox to a new format as well... the LJ still be updated, but the whole story (yes, there really is just one) is pretty non-linear, so I'll be taking advantage of the non-linearity of hypertext... I just need to do some grunt work making links and some style sheets. As far as readability goes, I'm still considering a few things.

I spent all day Friday reading qeox. My vote is that you do not make it linear, do not make it easier

what about an option (links at the bottom of a particular page) to see the next entry for a particular character/section, so there are each of the stories that CAN be read in order but will link to other characters (croix, cue, noir, newspaper articles, encyclopedia entries, letters from phenson j. maldekirk, ilsa, vladov, X, postcards from B...) topically? I'm leaning this way to make it possible to get to all of the entries without having to stretch the topicallity of linking... that or have a link that will jump to a random entry (http://www.qeox.net/index.php?page=new)... or both. I'm still playing with styles and setting up links, so right now only a few of the entries are really live.
