I originally wrote this several years ago but have since shortened and revised it. I'm dating this in the future because it's truly an important entry, one which explains something which influences almost every aspect of my life. On 14 January, 2012, I edited the Facebook version of this and am posting this here on 16 February, 2012.

I'm not sure why, but I wrote to you and it didn't post my answer! Sorry about that. Anyway, I'm a native English speaker, so learned it from when I was a baby. Learning Greek, at least the informal Demotiki, isn't as difficult as many people make it out to be. But to be fair, my family has a talent for languages and I inherited it. Plus, I'm passionate about it, so that helps. I'm glad that you learned a bit about Hellenic Polytheism. I never proselitise, but if anyone wants to know about it, I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Oh believe me. the Jesuit priests at my college were furious when they heard the story. Mom was totally disheartened when it happenned and said "excuse me? I'm a Roman Catholic! I was born in Italy! Does God know about this?" But I've learned to love that nun, because if it weren't for her, I may not have found Hellenic Polytheism or maybe not as easily. I've always thought of calling her and rubbing int in her face. "Hi Sister. Remember the blind girl you didn't want to have Communion at your church because you had so many students there and couldn't teach her? Well, I'm that girl and am proud to say that I now follow The Gods of ancient Greece. May Hermes bless you for your words and Athena for your great wisdom." lol I bet she'd wet herself!
