Lessons for living on a shoestring budget

Some are serious, some are funny because I actually just learned them this summer (look at 3).
1) Do not buy alcohol (this is probably the most important tip)
2) Do not buy meat. As with alcohol, it is too expensive and never goes as far as you think it will.
3) Canned foods are good. It is also crucial then, to have a can opener otherwise canned ( Read more... )

I like the (intentional?) pun in #5.

And I am a carnetarian for life, so #2 I'll disregard. The others are sound.

I will add #7a (a for Apolon):

7a) If you are too "busy" to learn to cook, subsist solely on scrumptious sandwiches.

I too indulge in the meats (and as well you know, the alcohol as well). But trust me, it's way too expensive.
