that past entry aside though, it is fun to think that on Monday I had a conversation with my 80 year old english professor about bdsm. because joyce addresses it in Ulysses. that is pretty ridiculous. 

I like reading Ulysses on a very aesthetic level. It is hilarious, fun to read, full of wonderful sounds and visions and smells. It is very sensory.

But critically reading it is mental masturbation. All imagination in your head and it doesn't really get you anywhere.

Flogging Molly = teh awesome.

Went to Albany to see them and Street Dogs. By the end of the night my voice was shot, I was utterly exhausted, covered in dusty dirt and sweat and beer, bleeding from a split eyebrow and very sore. Basically I was a wreck. But it was so much fun and they seriously are amazing live.

I went running last night for the first time since the Boilermaker. 5 miles. The last lights of sunset and the incidence of moonrise on opposite sides of the open fields on Griffin Rd. did something to me that I had never felt while running before.
