Eros and Agape seraphimsigrist May 12 2003, 14:14:27 UTC
Anders Nygren a Swedish theologian did a long
work called eros and agape the basic thrust of
which was to separate Greek philosophy from
Christian thought(the former characterized by
eros...yearning, desire etc) the latter self
giving love.
There is perhaps not nothing to it, or to all
the sermons preached on Greek word studies but
in the end a person is one and his love compounded
of all the forms of love(four I think in greek)
and Plato's love too and his Good I should say
are another way of expressing from a different
perspective and distance from Bethlehem to be
sure that God is Love.
just this thought shared to yours here

complicated but in a word agreeing

eros=bad, agape=good will not hold.
