After the picnic, Theo had found his way to his room and called Thom. Thom had wanted to know every single thing that had happened (okay, he mostly wanted to know about the girls) but Theo had been too tired to talk for too long. He'd just wanted to check in and told him to give Kiori the news. And then he'd fallen asleep with Dev and Ange

Raven had only put a small dent in unpacking and setting up her side of the room, having instead spent most of yesterday and this morning poking at the futuristic (and frequently remarkably not so futuristic) devices around her.

She hadn't found any evidence of jet packs yet. She wasn't super convinced this really was the future.

"Oh!" she said, coming back into the room after poking a bit at the tv in the common room (it wasn't even set into a wall panel!). "You're a sidewalk surfer?"

Skateboarding was still a pretty new thing, where she was from.

"That's...not a name I've heard it called before but it makes sense," Theo said after a moment of thought. "Yeah, I am. Not a very good one but I manage."

"Sorry," Raven said. "What do you usually call it, then? It's only sort of just been invented in my world."

"Don't apologize," Theo said, waving that off. "It's okay."

"Very nice, Theo," Ange said. Dev groaned.

"Skateboarding is what it's called. Guessing you've never been on one if it's just been invented, huh?"
