Yay Easter! I think enjoying nature, the seasons, and this world we live in is pretty important.

Hm... I thought Watchmen was kinda like a comic for old people. What do you think?

haha! I'm sorry to butt in, just curious, in what way for old people do you mean? Quite interesting to say so- and why do you think so as well? =) i'm simply curious since most the folk i know who have read it are fairly young (I guess they are not teens though) (is it because the comic is based around the neuclear war scare?)

anywyas, EASTERRRRR - this has been some of the best easter ever =) srping is so refreshing..~

It must be nice being in Japan, I get the impression they have alot of holidays celebrating nature and seasons :)

I didnt think Watchmen was for old people 0_0 I guess it certainly isnt kid friendly ^^; I'm 19 but I find it enjoyable... I suppose its for older people in the sense it makes alot of social/political commentary of the issues that were going on at the time (1980s) so unless you were old enough to be aware of politics in america 1985 some things might not be as significant/make an impact. I have no knowlege of america 1980s though, but I understand the issues being raised and find other themes/issues raised to be just as interesting. On top of that the characters are really well made, so if everything else goes over a readers head, they have at least some great characters to enjoy :)

The themes, while reflecting the 80s (especially genetic experimentation which isn't talked about so much these days), are pretty relevent in today's times anyway. We still live in an age of war, and nuclear at that, though not as tense as the cold war was to total annihilation.
Even so, the general theme of a government being untrustworthy is accurate to present day. Who knows though, maybe it'll all age quite badly. :P
By old - do you mean mature? Or old as in you could catch a pensioner flicking through it at the bus stop?

I thought I would be able to make bigger progress but I only made it through about a third of the book over Easter. Still liking it though.
