So, today's been a Nano-filled day, but not necessarily one that's been filled with writing.
- One of the MLs for Toronto had a great idea for a social event - "banishing the inner critic." The idea of it was to take that little voice inside your head telling you you're not any good, put it into physical form using clay or other materials, and then putting it away in a box until you're done your first draft. Becca and I didn't go to the actual event, but we did do one at home using the CubeeCraft template:
They now live inside a clear plastic box in our basement, which looks like a futuristic sci-fi prison cell (like the one Gandalf was in at the start of the second X-Men movie)
- Nano widget!
- Errol (one of the Toronto Wrimos) is doing a daily video blog as one of his characters, who is also doing Nanowrimo (it's all very meta). For one of the video blog entries, he interviewed me in my role of Word War captain for Toronto: www.viddler.com/explore/Errol/videos/11/. It was a lot of fun to shoot (and, for those of you who aren't Vaudeville fans, is an homage to a classic comedy skit). Actually, all of the videos Errol has up there are pretty funny - check the rest of them out if you're on there!
