If you don't know how to salt and preserve your game from hunting you're better off with things like squirrels and rabbits. There's no point in shooting a deer if you can't cut the meat properly and make it last.

I do.

[Once upon a time he would have been rather unsure sounding, but he's quite confident in his abilities here.]

[Oh, its that guy whose knives she's kind of borrowing. Possibly without his permission.]

Could you preserve it all?

If needs be yes. Though one has to think of where it would all go before being eaten. The wagons have limited space as it is, I'm afraid.

Some of us could walk. Supplies are more important.

[ Behold, it's your favorite adopted medieval princess, looking curiously into the camera. ]

I thought you a man of the sea, Mister Pullings. Is there much hunting to be had upon the waves?

[Insta-smile. Because it's adopted medieval princess.]

Not of beasts no. [By way of explanation:]

[ See. This is why Sansa cares so much for her naval officers. They always know how to smile at her, no matter what. ]

A forest? [ Her expression pricks up at that. ] I, too, was raised by the forest though I myself did no hunting, of course. My brothers, though, have much skill with a bow. [ Save for Bran. Sansa keeps that to herself. ] It's a pity there is not more use of notch and arrow here.

My own brothers are poorer shots than I, unfortunately.

How many siblings have you got, Miss Sansa?

[Just a little panicked:]

There's other things than meat to eat, right?

Of course. But that's no way to eat. You'll grow weak as a babe in a month!

[While you're talking, Tom, a certain midshipman-turned-pastor-turned-steward will just... walk over and leave a cup by you.

Talking about extra blankets? He half assumes you might be cold and just not saying anything.

So... have a hot cup of tea, fortified with just a few dashes of whiskey in the kettle.]

[Tom is slightly bewildered when the cup is set down by him. He looks over at Jonathan and slightly fumbles in his speech.

He wasn't expecting that.]

Thank you.
