Now that we have been here for some time I imagine there are a number of you for whom certain devices you may have had on your person have now died ( Read more... )

[ Ignoring most of that, mainly boring, TLDR...

The last part gets his attention. ]

Does my purpose really matter in this particular exchange?

Yes.

My wagonmate wants to make clothing.
There aren't a lot of things I want here that I can get, or don't already have.
So finding something for her seemed appropriate.

You know how to make electricity? Like, just... make it? That's so cool!

...
Yes.
That is exactly what I am doing here.
Creating electricity.

But... I mean, how? I thought generators are typically pretty huge...

I have a small generator that runs on nonsense.

A useful scheme. I approve.

It's a good thing I was seeking approval from distant, anonymous trolls.
That makes the entire endeavor even more worthwhile.

Distant? We can't 8e more than a stone's throw away from each other at the moment. And as for anonymous, you might try asking one of the other trolls. The pretty little jade8lood certainly knows who I am.

You may not have sought my approval, 8ut you have it anyway.

Distance is relative when it's faceless.
Unless someone has given you inside information you still do not know who I am outside of my name.
And all I have in regards to you is a title.
There's a sense of anonymity that lends itself to distance in situations like this.
Even if the truth is, we could be in the wagons opposite each other.
...I shall have to have her point you out to me.

Well, consider me relieved, then.
I'd hate to think you were withholding it.

I have some spare fabric, if you want it.

I can keep myself powered, and most everything electronic I have is built into me. The only thing that might need powering is Tango, and he seems fine, at least for now. If nothing else, he can run off my power.

I'll keep you in mind if something happens, though.

I suspect my wagonmate would be grateful for any fabric you are willing to part with.

...Tango?

[Text] whistleconcert November 30 2011, 05:50:14 UTC
It isn't a lot, but I don't have a use for it. Might as well give it to someone who does.

Tango is my cat. He has to recharge off me for now, since we're living in a time before electricity. I suggested we could tie him to a kite string and see about finding a thunderstorm, but he didn't seem all that pleased with the idea.

You have a robotic cat.
...
Well, if you can spare the fabric you mentioned, I see no reason why he couldn't charge on the hub from time to time.

I have an Ipod in need of resurrection stat.

[Poor Rose. No one appreciates her rambling.]

A simple request.
Did you want to trade something?

Is that the price for services rendered?

Reply

sarcasticseer December 3 2011, 22:55:53 UTC
The price is negotiable.
Part of me is honestly curious simply to see what people offer.
